Jade Peak writes about places, experiences, and the people behind them, so hotels, operators, and companies come up often. We have no financial relationship with any entity named in this article. If that ever changes, we'll say so plainly, right here at the top.
As co-founders, we’re continuing this series in Singapore because it’s a city we know well. It may be a small country, but after spending significant time there, we can say first-hand that Singapore offers far more than most people expect. It has become a fascinating place for wellness, recovery, movement and sport a city where high-performance living and everyday wellbeing exist side by side.
That is why we’re continuing to explore the new spaces shaping Singapore right now.
TRIFECTA Surf Club
Trifecta opened at Somerset in 2026, and it is one of the clearest signs yet that Singapore sees movement as part of city life. At its centre is the Trifecta Surf Club, built around a Citywave pool that the operator describes as Southeast Asia’s only one and the largest in Asia. It does not come as a surprise that Singapore has gone big with the concept. Surfing a standing wave in the middle of Orchard Road sounds unlikely until you see it working.
What earns Trifecta a place on this list is what sits alongside the surf. Reva Social Wellness runs hot-and-cold contrast therapy in the same building, with twin ice baths, a hot pool, and a sauna, alongside guided sessions and breathwork. You can push yourself on the wave and then recover properly just a few steps away.
The whole venue is open to the public, meaning you can simply book a session rather than joining a private club something we always appreciate.
Dearborn
Dearborn sits inside New Bahru and is run by Chef Chris Kong, who previously worked as a sous-chef at The NoMad, which immediately makes it worth paying attention to. He started his journey as a granola specialist before opening this café.
Brunch is the focus here. Our favourite order is the bread with butter and the breakfast sandwich, although the English muffin is a great option if you are looking for something lighter and fresh. Arrive early it gets busy.
Yunomori Onsen & Spa
For a slower kind of recovery, Yunomori Onsen & Spa in Kallang brings the Japanese bathing tradition to Singapore. Often described as the city’s first onsen day spa, it features eleven different baths, from traditional hot pools to more modern variations, alongside Thai massage treatments and a café.
We also like that it works well for people who need to combine wellness with work. The café area has become a popular spot for people looking for a calmer place to spend a few hours with a laptop after a treatment.
The operator describes the waters as detoxifying and relaxing. We would put it more simply: a proper bathing ritual is one of the best ways we know to reset after a long flight or a hot day exploring the city, and Yunomori does it particularly well.
