Jade Peak writes about places, experiences, and the people behind them, so hotels, operators, and companies come up often. We have no financial relationship with any entity named in this article. If that ever changes, we'll say so plainly, right here at the top.

Barcelona has always been a city of energy, sun, and vibrant streets, Sagrada Familia and all, but recently it’s also becoming a hub for wellness experiences. We’re here to show you what’s new in the city, whether you’re a local, a traveller, or an expat trying to build a slightly different version of yourself here. From wellness and culture to adventure and sport, this is what’s currently shaping how the city is lived, not just visited.
Aire Ancient Baths
Aire Ancient Baths brings a centuries-old bathing tradition right into the heart of Barcelona. Inspired by Roman, Greek, and Ottoman rituals, warm pools, cold plunges, steam rooms, and candlelit corridors create an atmosphere of ritualized relaxation. It’s like a candlelight concert has a twin.
It’s not just in Barcelona they have locations across Spain in cities like Almería and Sevilla. The treatments are top-notch, of course, but what really leaves an impression is the design itself. Looking at the space, it sticks in your memory: the perfect romantic date spot, or a truly special gift for your mother.

Bol Barcelona
Here in Barcelona, if you want a break from tapas, this is a good place to pause. Everything is seasonal, local, and balanced. You can have a proper gazpacho, a simple Spanish dish done well, something that feels familiar but lighter. It’s the kind of food that doesn’t feel like effort, just something that sits well with your body. They also have sweet options that are vegan, gluten-free, and without refined sugar here in jade peak we love that

The Cube Barcelona Beach
Summer is coming, so we wanted to give some space to this spot. For those who prefer movement and recovery outdoors, The Cube Barcelona Beach offers a mix of athletic training, functional workouts, and beach-front sessions. Classes are designed for everyone whether you’re a seasoned athlete or a curious first-timer, the approachable instructors and creative programming make wellness feel joyful and social.
We also love the design here at Jade Peak so we did more research about it. These maritime cubes were created by Malcolm McLena in 1956 and got an eco-friendly, community-driven update in the ’90s. They kind of remind me of giant Legos, but placed on the beach in Barcelona, the cubes make perfect sense, functional, playful, and perfectly suited to the seaside setting.
